Rooms
The hotel offers a Riverside Suite with a private balcony and mountain views, plus a King Room with Mountain View that includes a sauna and spa bath. Each room has individual stylish décor, private bathrooms with walk-in showers, and views of gardens, rivers, or fells from every window. The self-catering Apartment on the ground floor includes a dining area with a dishwasher and microwave, and is designed for easy access with only one step into the property.
Dining
Breakfast at Riverside Escape offers a wide variety of locally sourced options, including all-Cumbrian choices such as porridge with fruit and seeds. Guests order breakfast the night before and receive a cooked-to-order meal served with warmth in the dining room overlooking the garden. The breakfast consistently receives praise for its quality and presentation, with fresh juice and locally sourced produce.
Wellness & Spa
Select rooms, including the Suite with Spa Bath and King Room with Mountain View, include an on-site sauna and spa bath for guest use. The spa bath fills quickly with great water pressure, and the sauna is available for post-activity relaxation. The property also offers individual climate control in rooms for added comfort.
Accessibility
Located a 5-minute walk from Keswick town centre, the hotel is close to Fitz Park, Derwentwater Lake (3.6 km), and Whinlatter Forest Park. Theatre by the Lake is a 17-minute walk away, and Cat Bells is 7 km from the property. The hotel offers free on-site private parking with a designated space right outside the front door, easily accessible with a stretchy rope to reserve the spot.
Amenities
The property includes a private self-catering apartment with a well-equipped kitchen, refrigerator, and electric kettle for independent stays. Free WiFi is available throughout the hotel, and all rooms have a TV and wardrobe. The hotel is family-run with attentive hosts who accommodate needs such as early breakfasts and secure gear storage for mountain bikers.

“This Keswick accommodation strikes a solid balance, particularly with its convenient parking which is often a challenge in the area.
